I have been rather preoccupied with a few commitments that have taken me off my main track with this blog, though I have enjoyed the distraction, I am now ready to show some of the works I carried out in August of this year, carrying on from the post “Choosing colour“.
Why the title “colour on the move”, well that’s simply because it is the action of the ink either as a direct response to the process I’m employing and to the natural forces which are acting on the ink.
Of course we mustn’t forget the the “mind” and its complexities, acting without me necessarily knowing about it.
I have questioned wether the choice of colours had any significance after these paintings were completed, and honestly I can’t provide an answer, some things just happen because they do.
My thoughts at the time were more about allowing a minimal amount of control from myself , rather than making an aesthetic image, though I have read somewhere there is nothing wrong with painting beauty, and that in itself raises the aged idiom of “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.
As seems to be my idiosyncrasy of thought, I have again asked myself more questions for which I need to find answers.Though I feel sometimes that researching ones work to a great depth, must, at some point give way to the process of doing and doing it as best as possible. You of course will know when that is, because the number of words will diminish to zero. (well to 1 or 2 perhaps!)
